Marije studied corporate law at Leiden University and obtained a postgraduate qualification in UK, EU & US Copyright Law from King\u2019s College London. After graduating, she worked for eight years as an in-house lawyer at a collective management organization, where she further specialized in copyright law and collective rights management. She gained international experience by speaking at conferences and serving as vice-chair of the CISAC Legal Committee (International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers). She transitioned to private practice as a lawyer in 2016.<\/p>\n
In her legal practice, in addition to copyright law and collective rights management, Marije focuses on advising and litigating on liability issues, drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and general terms and conditions, and advising on privacy matters. In 2022, she completed a specialized course in IT law.<\/p>\n
